• Located in Festus deanery. There are 9 territorial parishes and 4 elementary schools.
• Though overall population has grown during the past decade, the Catholic population continues to decline.
• Baptisms are ½ of what they were 10 years ago.
• A decade ago, there were nearly twice as many children in PSR than day school, but PSR has declined 50% in the last decade (2^nd fastest decline of any planning area) and now day school and PSR are about the same.
• A 30% decline in Mass attendance during the past decade.
• Currently there are 10 diocesan priests assigned to this planning area.
• Long term, there may be only 8 diocesan priests available for ministry in this planning area.
