1. SJBD Grand Slam Baseball cards are a computer-generated raffle providing the purchaser with three teams (different each week) for the last 17 weeks of the regular season games of the Major League Baseball Season (MLB Season).
2. The first week drawing will begin Monday May 31^st through Sunday, June 6, 2021.. 
   1. Refer to the section on Weekly Game Rules for a complete listing of the 17 weeks included in SJBD Grand Slam Baseball.
3. For a purchase cost of $25.00 per ticket, you are entered for the first 17 weeks of the regular MLB Season.  This works out to a cost of $1.47 per week for these 17 weeks.
4. You do not need to know anything about Major League Baseball to play.  Nor do you need to pay attention to baseball, watch games, etc.
5. Each SJBD Grand Slam Baseball card has a unique three letter/number code.  This is on the top left side of your ticket in bold print, e.g., QZ1.  This code identifies your ticket.
6. That code allows you to identify the three teams you have for each of the 17 weeks. 
7. Winners are determined in the following manner.
   1. We enter each team’s total runs scored for all games of each week.
   2. Winners are determined by the combined total of runs scored by each ticket’s three teams.
   3. There are nine winners for each week.
      1. 1^st Highest 3 Team Total Runs Scored                                -           $400.00
      2. 2^nd Highest 3 Team Total Runs Scored                              -           $200.00
      3. 3^rd Highest 3 Team Total Runs Scored                               -           $100.00
      4. 4^th Highest 3 Team Total Runs Scored                               -           $75.00
      5. 5^th Highest 3 Team Total Runs Scored                               -           $50.00
      6. 1^st Lowest 3 Team Total Runs Scored                                -           $75.00
      7. 2^nd Lowest 3 Team Total Runs Scored                               -           $45.00
      8. 3^rd Lowest 3 Team Total Runs Scored                                -           $30.00
      9. 4^th Lowest 3 Team Total Runs Scored                                -           $25.00
   4. In case of ties, prizes are combined and split evenly.
   5. $17,000.00 in total prizes will be awarded over the 17 weeks ($1,000.00 weekly).
8. Weekly results are posted on Monday at:  www.saintjohnimperial.org
9. Checks are automatically sent to all winners at their indicated address within ten business days.
10. Winners are based on the number of runs scored in a week (Monday through Sunday) apart from  Week # 7 due to the All-Star Game break.  Not all teams play the same number of games in a given week due to days off, rainouts, double-headers, Covid re-scheduling, etc. 
11. Baseball Boosters ticket stub with $25.00 payment attached must be received by St. John the Beloved Disciple Parish to be entered and recorded.

1. You do not need to be a sports person or a baseball fan to participate.  All you need to do is purchase a Grand Slam Baseball card at the cost of $25.00 each.
2. There are three (3) letters or numbers on each card.  These identify the teams that you have for a given week of the 2020 Major League Baseball (MLB) Season.  You can pick any card you prefer, any combination that you feel is lucky for you.  Once you purchase a card, YOUR ID is entered into the computer program.  Each week, we enter in the total runs scored for all the MLB Teams and games played that week (Monday through Sunday) into the computer and if YOUR ID matches the winning scores, you are sent a check for your winnings.  It’s that easy. 
3. SJBD Grand Slam Baseball covers the last 17 weeks of the MLB Baseball season.  The first drawing week will be May 31-June 6, 2021.  The last week of the regular season is September 27-October 3, 2021.. 
4. Your $25.00 purchase works out to $1.47 per week for the season, and you have nine (9) opportunities to win each week.  There are no restrictions on how many times you can win as your card is good for all 17 weeks. 
5. St. John must be in receipt of the Baseball Booster ticket stub and payment ($25.00 cash or check – made out to St. John Church) for winners to be paid.  PLEASE CLEARLY PRINT the buyer’s name, address and phone number as well as filling out the seller’s section clearly so winner’s checks and sales credit is properly assigned.

3/7/2021 Update

After consultation, deliberation and prayer, we have decided to undertake the Grand Slam Baseball Fundraiser in 2021. We will make one important change in this fundraiser which we hope will enhance its prospects and success.

The basic format remains the same:
•the tickets will look the same,
•the cost will be the same, $25.00 per card,
•the prizes distributed will be the same ($1,000.00
awarded to 9 winners for each of the 17 weeks).

The difference will be we will run Grand Slam Baseball for the last 17 weeks of the Major League Baseball Season, not as in the past, for the first 17 weeks. We do this because we feel as the Covid virus will diminish (we hope and pray) this will make the sale of Grand Slam Baseball tickets easier.

Note - It will take anywhere from 7 to 10 calendar days after the winners are posted for the winners to receive their checks in the mail.
